ROYAL PALACE KALAT Sep 24 (PPI): People take to roads because they have problems. Country has neither stability people have prosperity, security nor employment.

This was stated by Chief of Baloch Rabita Ittefaq Tehreek (BRIT) Prince Mohyuddin Baloch in an interview with PPI at Royal Palace.

He said country was running owing to efforts of 180 million people. There is politics but no leadership. There is dual system. Who is running foreign policy of the country.

Country has no foreign minister while every country in the world even one that comes into being recently has its foreign minister. With the result it is complete failure.

Asked what should be role of Army in country’s politics, Prince Mohyudidn said he has seen two systems. During 1970 when situation worsened, this was similar to that of today’s. Only difference is that Army was conducting operation at that time but now a day this is not the position. Due to international and army’s pressure that civil government should maintain law and order. Under these circumstances his father and Khan of Kalat late Mir Ahmed Yar Khan was appointed governor and tasked to maintain law and order. Peace was established and it remained intact for 23 years. It was peace between Baloch and Army. Not a single bullet was fired ruing this period. He said he found martial law period good. It is nothing but just propaganda that army is cruel and dictator.

Mohyuddin Baloch said martial came in the country during 1977, Ayub Khan period and Mushrraf time. Court granted extension to martial laws.

He said during martial law there was a Communist super power in Afghanistan. At that time a policy was adopted to please Baloch and Balochistan to give stability to the country. He said Martial Law made Pakistan a nuclear power and a true local government system was established at that time which went to lower level.

He said he wants to make it clear he was not in faovur of martial law because he was democratic man. He said it is well known that members of parliament are becoming richer while poor becoming poorer. He sad people do not know politics and parliament has become business. He said rulers should frame policies in interest of people. He said if Balochistan is supported and Baloch people are treated equally and policies are made in interest of people there is possibility for a stable Pakistan.

He said Parliament is for legislation. He said policy making planning is one sided and there is failure because of Lahore. He said we have deteriorated relations with our neighbours. There are tow Islamic countries. In one country Islamic system was successful running for last 30 years.

He said country does not run with jokes and loot and plunder. He said establishment is itself involved in it and so ti does not do any thing. Pakistan was becoming weak with every passing day. If enemy was interfering in our province then why we are silent. We should also make interference in their country. There is disturbance in three provinces while people make shopping in Lahore. Religion has been made politics. Our country demsnds stability.

He said people should decide and keep Constitution before them. If there is crisis in the country constitutional initiative be taken to overcome this.

BRIT chief said there are complaints about National Action Plan (NAP). He aid rulers are incapable to run the government. They have no ability to deal with 200 million people.

Referring a question about return of Afghan refugees Prince Mohyuddin said if they want Pakistan citizenship they should be given. There is no doubt Afghan nation played important role in Pakistan’s defence and at the time of communist invasion.

In return Pakistan provided shelter to Afghans, gave them respect. Problem is refugees any where in the world are refugees. They have to decide if they want Pakistan citizenship. He said our senior leaders such as Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Mufti Mahmood, Asfand Yar Wali, Sirajul Haq all are Afghans but they have Pakistani passport. Major part of our population is Afghans. They live in Karachi, Lahore and other places.

About insurgency in Balochistan Prince Mohyuddin a former Federal Commerce Minister said it is said that insurgency in Balochistan has ended. He said he has reservations about it. F it had ended what deal has been given to Balochistan in Balochistan. All the terrorists have gone underground. They say they cannot fight with F- 16 and kalahsinkov. They are of the view if people want they were ready to fight. People were looking for policy. Those outside are not concerned with insurgency in Balochistan. Infact Baloch are unhappy. If any outsider commits aggression you can’t show them what you have given to Baloch people. Same people are repeatedly being brought to the assemblies and all are eating jointly. He said out of 35 thirty two secretaries are from Lahore.

He said any government has ever said it should be removed as situation is bad and fresh elections be held.

Turning to CPEC he said economic experts from Islamabad should tell what benefit would be accrued to Baloch. He said World Bank has estimated that Reko Diq has 500 billion dollars servers including gold, copper and others. This 46 billion dollars are nothing. He said China would take away our 500 billion resources by giving us just 46 billion dollars. They said roads and rail tracks would be laid but he sees is difficult that project would complete.
