QUETTA Oct 31 (PPI): China Pak Economic Corridor project is not only guarantee for Baluchistan’s progress and prosperity but Pakistan also. It would also help remove declining economic condition of the world. CPEC is pilot project of one belt one road which would link different nations of the world with each other form one corner to the other.
These views were expressed by Balochistan governor Muhammad khan Achakzai while speaking with Ministry of Defence delegation which called on him here Monday.
Delegation led by Major General Naeem Ashraf is currently in Balochistan on study tour.
Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Daud Barech, Secretary Home Akbar Hariful, Principal Secretary to Governor Abdul Jabbar and Additional Secretary Finance Naseer Kashani were also present at the meeting.
Law and order situation in Balochistan, and aspects of development in education and other sector, usefulness of CPEC and government measures were discussed in detail at the meeting.
Speaking about law and order situation Governor said there is remarkable improvement in law and order situation in Balochistan particularly Quetta. However concern of people over some recent incidents is justified. We have to adopt still tough measures to overcome terrorism.
Answering a question he said corruption is a menace and educated people are more responsible for it than of poor people. If country’s educated particularly government officers discharge their duties honestly and dedicatedly there is no reason we eradicate corruption and other crisis with success.
He called upon the participants there are more responsibilities upon them after training to their vital role for welfare and progress of people and thus they would have mental satisfaction. He proposed if they discharge their responsibilities about development projects in time and their audit is conducted regularly every year then several problems of overall performance and governance would be resolved automatically.
Governor said there is dire need to reestablish education sector on modern lines so that way is paved for character building of youth but to ameliorate their moral, creative and critic abilities are also developed.
