QUETTA Nov 16 (PPI): Arrival of trade caravan through CPEC western route and commencement of trade activities via Gwadar Port is historic headway. Gwadar Port would become major transit port in near future in the region. People view with great regard interest of Chinese friends and practical cooperation for the development of Gwadar.
This was stated by Balochistan Chief Minster Nawab Sanaullah Zehri while speaking with Chinese Consul General Whang Yu in Karachi Wednesday. Chinese consul General was accompanied by officials of Chinese consulate.
Vice Chairman Balochistan Board of investment Khwaja Humayun Nizami was also present.
Finalization of Gwadar Port and start of trade activities was termed as basis of successful commencement of CPEC.
Chief Minister said that Balochistan was ready to play its key role in CPEC project. People o Balochistan welcomed use of western route for trade caravan as its route and people of the areas welcome this caravan from where it passed.
He said Gwadar is basis of CPEC project and we hope that projects included in the CPEC for development of Gwadar City would also be completed in time and Gwadar would become Port City in real sense. People in the area would get golden opportunities of education, health, employment and trade. He said people fo Gwadar area ready to join development process.
Chinese Consul General described Balochistan as most appropriate region for investment in view of CPEC project, geographical location and natural resources. He was of the view that with start of CPEC project investment would get boost here and besides China investors form other countries would also arrive.
He said Chinese government was very much serious for early completion of CPEC project for development of Gwadar.
